In this reflective session, we analyze a video of a 7th-grade math classroom in Seattle. The teacher encourages students to compute and rationalize their answers, fostering critical thinking. Participants are prompted to introduce themselves, share observations from the video, and discuss their queries. The second part focuses on the teacher's observations and decisions that drive productive discussions among students. We will explore signals indicating student understanding and reflect on insights gained from a second viewing of the teacher's classroom.
