  3. Feedback from last year: Rates of pay for coaches Cost of Governing Body courses Database of local coaches Better links with NGBs Implementation of Endorsement Criteria

  4. Level 4 UKCC – Pg Diploma • Endorsement • Coaching System Support Network (CSSN)

  5. Endorsement of Undergraduate degrees in sports coach education • Criteria approved by Coaching Standards following a public consultation. • Beginning a Pilot phase in September. • Now part of SkillsActive ‘Active Endorsement Scheme’ ✔

  6. Coaching System Support Network • CDM’s in place • Delivered workshop on HE/FE as part of their induction process. • Further follow-up workshop for CDM’s in London and SE. ✔

  7. Action Points from CDM’s • Identify who to work with in HE. • Audit of coaches in HE. • Data management - ? • Provision of development opportunities – ‘demand lead’. • Identify potential for collaboration and sharing of resources. • Involving local NGB partners.

  8. What can HE/FE do to help develop the CSSN? • Make contact with the CDM in each CSP. • Discuss issues around: • Audit of coaches/data management • Coaching workforce • Local collaboration • Coach Manager Training

  9. ‘CoachSussex’ - University(ies) sign up to affiliate programme on the data management system. - 3rd year students help with research. - Collaboration with Local Authority. - Delivery of workshops as identified by coaching audit.
