cycle Using Google students search ‘Japan’ in Web, Images and Videos: this promotes new and familiar and known and unknown knowledge; students post their own experiences about Japan on a blog Students create their own tourist video about Japan Students consider the following: “That so Japanese” “That’s very Japanese”: they name the signs of Japaneseness, develop generalisations about Japan and testing them against what they can find on the Internet We watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixlcBg0d-Iw and then analyse critically
