  1. Advanced Placement Initiative • 48.52% of AP tests taken earned a 3 or above • $14,600 was paid to students earning 3 or above • $7 000 was paid to AP teachers who had 50% of students taking AP exam earn a 3+

Advanced Placement Initiative • 112 teachers earned a $500 stipend for attending 4 days of staff development, either the Rice Institute or Laying the Foundation • ELA and Math Pre-AP/AP teachers will complete Year 3 of Laying the Foundation in August; Science will complete Year 2 in August and Year 3 in June, 2012 • Social studies and ELA Pre-AP/AP teachers attended a two-day College Board workshop

  3. Advanced placement initiative • 83 Promethean Boards were installed in Pre-AP/AP classrooms • Teachers who attended a Promethean orientation and completed online course received a $100 stipend • Teachers were paid a $100 stipend for using Moodle with students

  4. Advanced Placement Initiative • 7 virtual AP courses were offered • Virtual Chinese Mandarin was offered to 8th and 9th graders • AP teachers earned extra duty for summer camps and after school focused tutorials • Calculators were purchased for Pre-AP math and science courses
