  3. Distress over the ills of others that prompts action to relieve THE COMPASSION OF JESUS

  4. Concern for the ApostlesMark 6:30-32 • Had been out preaching, Mark 6:7, 12-13 (Luke 9:6) • Rest after work is important and promised, Luke 9:10 • The Christian’s rest, Heb 4:9-11; Rev 14:13

  5. Compassion for the PeopleLuke 9:11 • Compassion for the soul • An eternal necessity, Mark 6:34 • Teaching • Compassion for the body • Temporary needs, Matt 14:14 (Lk 9:11) • Healings and food

  17. Jesus is the Bread of LifeJohn 6:35, 44-45, 51 • Come to Him • Hear and Believe on Him • Partake of Him (obey His word) • Live forever
