  2. “People tend to show up in a game the way they show up in their lives.” • In other words, people who get panicky under pressure in a game, tend to do the same when they’re under pressure in their lives • People who tend to “check out” or quit when things get tough in a game, tend to easily give up when things get tough in life • People who cheat or use dishonestly to get further in a game, tend to be dishonest to make things better on themselves in life.

Victims… • “Poor me, my life is being done TO me.” • “I’m playing for a pretty pathetic team in life.” • “I have no control over myself.” None of us want to send this message! • But sometimes we do. How many have ever used this mentality at school? Home? With friends? How many know an adult who you would say is living below the line?

  5. “This is it! This is my life!” • Give up the masks that are keeping you below the line! • Take control of your life and your self! • Know that you have the power to come from a much stronger place… • Where is this stronger place? Anyone know?

  6. Respond-Ability Choices This is a little different from responsibility, isn’t it? You have the ABILITY to ____________! This is MY LIFE! I make great decisions for myself, and sometimes I do mess up, but it’s always ME running the show! I have the ability to choose how to respond to my circumstances. Power When we recognize we can choose how to respond, we gain a better understanding of the… Freedom Ownership We award ourselves! Justify Lay Blame Deny Quit

  7. Now the question is… • What does it mean to live above the line? • Cite one example when you have “lived below the line” in your own life. We all have. • Cite one example when you have “lived above the line” in your own life. We all have something there to be proud of too.
