Highlights • EP activities are aimed at broadening the engineering student’s education but are not compulsory. • The EP activities are assigned MCs that may be used as Unrestricted Elective MCs. • The MCs of each program may be used only once for that program. • Each student is assigned a Faculty Member as Mentor to guide him/her. • Department coordinators for EP activities may also be consulted.

EG1601 Semester Industrial Attachment Program (Local or Overseas) – SIAP or OIAP • Students must have completed Stage 2. • Minimum Duration is 6 months (24 weeks) • 12 MCs are awarded • Semester 6 is the best period to undertake the SIAP or OSIAP for most ME students • Program is coordinated by Dean’s Office but self-initiated attachments are welcome. • Faculty members assigned as Liaison Officers • Website:http://www.eng.nus.edu.sg/undergrad/epmc/iap.html

EG1602(T) Vacation Internship Program(Technopreneurial Internship) • Variation of EG1602 VIP to complement TIP modules. • Students must have completed Stage 2 and the prerequisite EG1603 TIP (Workshops & Seminars). • Undertaken in any student vacation (after Stage 2). • Duration is 12 weeks. • 6 MCs are awarded. • Supervisor will be Department’s TIP Coordinator.
