That is, in fact, the case. Road rash from motorcycle rides can be terrible for exposed skin as it all but freezes it.

  2. After an unprotected motorcycle ride, the fingers feel like they are chunks of solid, painful ice and feel like they could shatter to bits and second. The best way to prevent this is to wear garments and accessories that can keep the road rash from direct contact with exposed skin. A good jacket, a scarf and thick jeans can protect the tender areas of the body.
