  1. WEBCAST SCHEDULE Today’s event will run one-hour long. Here are the expected times for each segment of the Webcast: • :00 – :05: Moderator introduces the speaker and discusses the details of the Webcast. • :05- :25: Speaker delivers a PowerPoint presentation on the Webcast topic. • :25- :35: Moderator and speaker engage in a brief Q&A on the topic. • :35- :60: The speaker responds to questions submitted by the audience. You can submit questions to the speaker at any time during the event. Just click on the “Ask a Question” button in the lower left corner of your screen.

  2. TECHNICAL FAQs Here are answers to the most common technical problems users encounter during a Webcast: Q: Why can’t I hear the audio part of the webcast? A: Try increasing the volume on your computer. Q: I just entered the webcast and do not see the slide that the speaker is referring to. What should I do? A: The slides are constantly being pushed to your screen. You should refresh (hit F5) to view the latest slide. Q: What time zone do the webcasts take place? A: The TechTarget webcasts all occur on Eastern Daylight Saving Time (UTC/GMT - 4 hours). After Oct. 27, 2002, the Webcasts will occur on Eastern Standard Time (UTC/GMT – 5 hours). If your question is still not answered, please click the “Ask a Question” button in the lower left corner of your screen and submit your problem. A technical support person will respond immediately. Exam Guides and Experience are Key! • Listing of competencies that could be covered on the exam and that you should know with sample items • Determined by your peers - not Lotus • Lotus study showed a positive correlation between using the exam guide and a passing score • Go through each competency thoroughly • many CLPs find that searching in the help file on each competency helps • Experience - you must use the product • we recommend 90 days minimum

Test Taking Strategies • Plan your exam time • Arrive early • "Relax", "take deep breaths" • Initial review • Read through the exam questions • Mark items where your confidence is very high • Second review • Answer the marked items • Spend most of your time on unmarked items • Review the question "stem" only - Can I answer? • Review question options • How do the options differ? • Eliminate options/no penalty for guessing

Exam Structure and Results • Exam Structure • More than one equivalent "form" is used • Forms are equivalent in difficulty and content • Are assigned randomly to test takers • Typical exam has 40 scored items and 5 unscored items • Unscored items are used for replacement purposes • Results • Results are presented by content groups within the exam • Scoring provides focused feedback • Beta Exams • Typically 100 to 120 items; "one pass through" • Scores provided at the end of the Beta period • Lower exam fee
