About Harriet Tubman • Born around 1820 • Became a house slave at age 4 or 6 • Escorted over 300 slaves to freedom before the Civil War • During a 10 year time period she made 19 trips into the south • Her people called her Moses because they believed that God sent her from haven to free them.

  3. What Harriet did for the Civil War.. • Harriet was very helpful in the Union , she was a scout, spy, and nurse. • When she was involved in the civil war she freed another 700 slaves • Soldiers also called her Moses because she saved many of their lives

  4. Harriet Tubman was brave and strong, she also had great commitment and skills. Harriet will forever be remembered in America because she played a big part in how the US is today. She helped win the Civil war while saving many slaves.
