Introduction • Oil drilling has interfered and ruined natures existent, not only did it vitiation nature, it killed many endangered animals, even people were killed or injured during the oil drilling. Lives killed, animal extinct, what more can a oil drill can do, no one knows, but it has cause enough harm to our earth, Scientist do not know the solution neither do you but if we don’t know the solution then stop creating more problems. Oil drilling may make billions of dollars but to compare to the damage they’ve done, IT’S NOTHING

The Gulf of Mexico Spill • In April 2010, BP's Deepwater Horizon drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded and sank, and the pipe that transferred the oil 1,400 meters up from the sea floor were broken by the explosion, some 4.9 million barrels of oil, and an equal quantity of gas, ejected out over three months, according to the US government. Before they closed the leak was seal in the deep horizon 53,000 barrel of oil leaked out of the hole, the spill cause extensive damage to marine and wildlife's’ habitats and to the Gulf’s fishing and tourism industries, skimmer ships, floating containment booms, anchor barrier, sand-filled barricades along the shoreline, and dispersants were used to protect the beach, wetlands and the estuaries. In the late November 2010 the leak was sealed but the oil still lives in the ocean, mammals still dying.

4. Why Oiling Drilling is BAD   Burning fossil fuel like oil causes global warming, which causes stronger hurricanes. MIT has found a way to channel solar energy for everyday's’ use, we must use less oil. The use of fossil fuels increases carbon emissions and that leads to terrible things like global warming, increased storms and climate changes. If Americans reduce carbon emissions by 2% a yea, we will reduce them by 76% in the year 2050. People should stop driving cars, cars releases gas and gas is made from oil, people shouldn’t drive a car when you can bike or walk there in 5 minutes. Everything thing we do is, “ Can we take a taxi”, or “ Let’s drive over there” but if we walk of ride a bike we can prevent global warming from rising higher and higher. 6. Animals KILLED by Oil • Oil drilling operations have wretched consequences on the habitat. When oil spills reach wetland areas, they slowly cripple and destroy marshy areas. Oil tends to get caught in these marshy areas, which act much like a net, and the effects of oil contamination can take years to regain. An unseen consequence of oil drilling operations is the effect it has on future generations. Food sources are wiped out in spills. The animals that rely on the wiped-out food will also be affected by starvation. When predators are wiped out, populations of their prey can get out of control. When predators are forced to eat affected food, they can become poisoned from ingesting oil-soaked tissue.
