What Types of Things They Do? • Cats wash their faces before rain, and if they sit with their back toward a fire, it is about to snow. • There will be rain in the morningif a rooster crows at night. • Pigs collect straw and leaves before a storm. • If cows lie down and won’t go to the pasture, a storm will most likely start up soon. • If a dog is randomly whining, there will be a very bad storm, possibly a tornado! • If roosters crow later in the day, bad weather is coming.

  3. How Do They Know? Some of the stories about animals predicting weather aren’t true, but some are. We still don’t know EXACTLY how they do it, but the scientists have a pretty good idea. It seems that the animals can predict weather better and faster then we can. They have great senses of hearing, smell, and awareness, but it seems that they have a 6th sense allowing them to predict different types of weather conditions, tsunamis, and earthquakes. Humans have always wanted to be able to predict the weather; but we can’t. Animals, however, can do some pretty amazing things. But the question is- HOW do they do it?

  4. Is it all Types of Weather? Can animals predict all of the different weather phenomenons including hurricanes, rain, thunder and lightning storms, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, and all the others? Is it only some weather disasters they can foresee? They can definitely predict rain- but what else? They can also tell when it will snow, when there will be a storm, tsunamis, earthquakes, sometimes even a tornado! You can also tell by the way they look. For instance, the thicker the bear’s coat, the more severe the winter will be. If there is a dark stripe at the head and the end, then the winter will be bad in the beginning, mild in the middle, and get worse more toward spring. The can do that and much, much, more!
