Pediatric Grand Rounds “Surgical Aspects of Biliary Atresia” presented by Deiadra Garrett, MD Tuesday, May 6, 2014 6:00 – 7:00 pm Woman’s Foundation Classroom Lafayette, Louisiana PURPOSE/RESULTS This activity will provide participants with an increased understanding of the surgical treatment and medical management of biliary atresia. OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of the session the attendees should successfully: * Identify the surgical treatment of biliary atresia * Identify the medical management of biliary atresia * Identify the historical perspective of biliary atresia TARGET AUDIENCE Woman’s Foundation, Inc. 4630 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy #100 Lafayette, La 70508 An educational program for pediatricians and pediatric sub-specialists. Content is appropriate for other health care professionals.

  2. FACULTY Deiadra J. Garrett, MD Attending Pediatric Surgeon Women’s and Children’s Hospital Children’s Multi Specialty Group Lafayette, Louisiana Dr. Garrett obtained her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Her General Surgery Residency training was completed at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, LA. Her fellowship in Surgical Critical Care was completed at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. Her fellowship in Minimally Invasive/Pediatric Surgery was completed at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in Los Angeles, CA. & her fellowship in Pediatric Surgery was completed at John’s Hopkins Medical Institute & University of Maryland Combined Program in Baltimore, Maryland. ACCREDITATION The Woman’s Foundation, Inc. is accredited by the Louisiana State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
