  7. Certified EHR • BNP Application

  8. Certified EHR • A lot of sites have been inquiring as to how they get on the MU Reporting Software Application List, which we've named the BNP National Site Tracker.  The software will highlight which sites need to upgrade various RPMS packages to meet the minimum certification software requirements within IHS and Tribal sites. There is a two step process to make this happen, both very simple and straight forward.1.  The RPMS system that you would like information on must install the BNP package.  The best person to do this would be the respective site manager of the site.  The BNP package is a nationally released and supported package that installs on the RPMS SERVER and allows that server to begin reporting its patch status.  Sites that are Tribal and Federal can report, as the system is open to ALL RPMS systems regardless of 638 or Federal status.  The site manager can install the BNP software by downloading it from the BNP server at http://seal6.ihs.gov/downloads/bnp_0100.zip - this is the RPMS component and contains the install notes, KIDS files, etc.  This will all make sense to the site manager installing the application.  Within a few minutes of the application being installed and executed, your site will show up through the client (the next step to this installation).2.  To access your site information, you will need the MU package reporting client.  You can download one for Windows 2000/XP/7 athttp://seal6.ihs.gov/downloads/sitetrackinginstaller-windows.zip or a Mac version at http://seal6.ihs.gov/downloads/sitetrackinginstaller-mac.zip - after installing the client, run it on your computer.  Select the Meaningful Use Reporting System option, select the package you would like to view the version status for and within a few seconds you will see the status of your site. That's it - you can then view the status of your RPMS system at any given time.  BNP only needs to be installed on RPMS once, and an unlimited number of users can view the information on the client at your respective sites.  Let us know if you have any questions or need assistance!
