  3. Mathematica系统是目前世界上应用最广泛的符号计算系统，它是由美国伊利诺大学复杂系统研究中心主任、物理学、数学和计算机科学教授Stephen Wolfram 负责研制的．该系统用Ｃ语言编写，博采众长，具有简单易学的交互式操作方式、强大的数值计算功能及符号计算功能、人工智能列表处理功能以及像Ｃ和Ｐascal语言那样的结构化程序设计功能．它有Dos环境下及Windos环境下的几种版本．这里主要介绍Windos环境下的2.21版本在高等数学中的应用，其他版本类似．
