Objective Impart self-employment and job-oriented skills to the youth of rural India, covering training programs on • English Language Learning(In Bilingual vernacular mode) • Softskills • Sales Orientation • Basics of Computer Hardware and Networking • Business Applications/Accounting process

  11. Scope • To set up 1000 CDES Centers across India jointly with CNRI/NGO members every year for a period of three years. • Formulate courses and modules for training Rural students for job-oriented and self-employability skills.

Program Details Duration: 4 Months ( 96 Hours,2hr/Day, Alternate Days) • Total Strength : 50 Students • Methodology: 6 students/batch,4 Batch /day • Student to Computer ratio : 2:1 The course content shall be as under:- • English Language Learning( Vernacular mode i.e Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Oriya, Assamese,Marathi and Gujarati, Tamil.) • Softskills • Sales Orientation program • Basics of Computer Hardware and Networking • Business Applications • Basic Accounting Processes.

  13. HCL Deliverables Computer Infrastructure • 3 HCL Computers/One Laser Printer, 3 UPS, 8-Port Switch and LAN cable(100 mts) for training to be provided by HCL. Train the Trainer Program. • One trainer with minimum BSc / Diploma/ Graduate from each Center to be trained by HCL at nearest HCL Training center. All training expenses, including stay and food expenses to be borne by HCL. Travel arrangements to and fro to HCL center to be made by NGO Members. Course Material • Trainer kit and students course material shall be provided by HCL/ Alliance Partners. Training Software • The software required for conducting the courses shall be provided by HCL/ Alliance Partners. Award of Certificate • The participating students shall be awarded Course Participation certificate jointly by HCL and CNRI. Placement Assistance • HCL may strive to provide Placement assistance to Qualifying Candidates( as per their educational qualification and industry requirements. However, this program is a basic skill upgradability program for the rural masses to generate employability and entrepreneurship skill and hence no placement guarantees are given by HCL to the participating students. Creation of Brochures and Marketing Collaterals: • HCL shall ensure design of brochures and other marketing collaterals with the assistance of / inputs received from the NGO Members and CNRI.

  14. CNRI Deliverables Enrolment of Students • CNRI through its NGO Members shall ensure minimum 50 Students for each of 4 Month course. Training Venue & Infrastructure • CNRI shall ensure that the venue and infrastructure (other than computer hardware and software) required for the conduct of proposed courses shall be provided by NGO members. This would include space, table and chairs, electricity, power back up, internet connection, security arrangements and center administration. All running expenses like electricity, internet charges, Water, consumables, stationary, etc to be borne by the NGO members. Trainer • One trainer each to be recruited by NGO members who in turn would be trained by HCL/Alliance partners. Necessary back-ups of trainers, if required to be prepared locally, to ensure smooth running of the programme. Fee Collection and Administration Marketing & Visibility • CNRI/NGOs to ensure adequate marketing and local campaigns for enrolling students Project Management • CNRI to depute dedicated resource to ensure successful implementation of this project. Octroi/Road permits required for the delivery of equipment to respective NGO locations to be arranged by CNRI.

Key Benefits to NGO Members • Recognition • Demonstration of NGOs commitment to the local youth by providing them skill development and emplyable opportunties. • Revenue Sharing • Ownership of Computer Hardware after three years • Usage of Internet Kiosks for generating Income through business applications like e-ticketing/reservations/e-mail/internet usage,etc. • Upgrading the centre to HCL CDC Training Centres

Execution Plan • HCL-CNRI MOU (Already done) • CNRI-NGO MOU • Work order and Advance against first batch to be received by HCL. • On receipt of the above from min 20 centers, despatch of Computer Hardware by HCL. • Installation to be done on confirmation of readiness of the site. • Train the trainer program to be conducted by HCL for a min 20 trainers. • Enrollment of students to be done by NGOs. • Batch to be launched on enrollment of 50 students. • Assessment to be done jointly by the trainer and HCL for candidates on completion of 4 Month program. • Joint Participation certificates to be issued by HCL within one month of completion of the program. • Process to be repeated for further batches of 4 Months for next 8 batches.
