  3. 2. Flect (Flex)-Bend • Flexible: capable of being bent, usually without breaking • Deflect: To bend or turn aside from your original course

  4. 3. Gen- Start or begin • Generate: to bring into existence; to cause to be; produce • Genealogy: The study of family histories

  5. 4. Gon-Angle • Polygon: A shape with many angles (and sides) • Diagonal: A line or a plane connecting two angles

  6. 5. Ject- throw • Reject: to throw back • Projectile: impelling or driving forward, as a force
