Locally important sites • SNCI’s Sites of Nature Conservation Interest • Local Authority statutory designation • Every parish has at least one (apart from Stoke Lodge and the Common) • Filton and Badminton = 1 snci • Bitton=15, Marshfield = 14, Siston =14, Hanham Abbots = 10, Oldbury on Severn =11 • Most in private ownership • Many last surveyed in 1980’s or 90’s
