A: Most hurricanes occur in the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Q: When does a hurricane occur? A: Most hurricanes are in autumn.

Winds were recorded at speeds of 75 mph. Though some scientists suspect they reached more than 200 mph.
