DESCRIPTION

This dataset provides a comprehensive comparison of CTD (Conductivity-Temperature-Depth) and STD (Salinity-Temperature-Depth) cast data acquired through the GODAR Project from 1965 to 1991 against the National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) archive holdings as of 1991. It also includes comparisons of XBT (Expendable Bathythermograph) and MBT (Mechanical Bathythermograph) temperature profiles from 1966 to 1991 and 1941 to 1991, respectively. This analysis highlights discrepancies and ensures data integrity within oceanographic research.
