  2. Select pen components and turning stock

  3. Mark the stock to pen tube size slightly oversized for trimming later.

  4. Cutting pen stock on a band saw.

  5. After cutting.

  6. Drilling the blank (pen stock) on a drill press.

  8. Two Parts Epoxy for gluing the tube to pen blank.

  9. Applying epoxy to tube.

  10. Inserting tube with a twistingmotion to spread the glue evenly.

  11. Final stage of tube insertion.

  12. Disc sander with special jig for squaring the edges.

  13. Squaring the edges of the blank.

  14. After squaring blank to tube.

  15. Blank with pen bushes for mounting on lathe for turning.

  16. Blank mounted on wood lathe ready for turning.

  17. Ready to turn square blank round using chisel with carbide inserts

  18. Turning away and making sawdust.

  19. More sawdust and taking shape.

  20. Turned to near finished size.

  21. Turning with a high speed steel skew chisel for a final smooth finish.

  22. Measuring the barrel.

  23. Dry Sanding with 9-step Micro Mesh.

  24. Micro Mesh from 1500 to 12000 grit

  25. Cleaning with DNA (Denatured Alcohol)

  26. Applying thin Cyanoacrylate (Super Glue) as a finish.

  27. Building up with 8 coats of Cyanoacrylate.

  28. Wet sanding with Micro Mesh for a glass like durable finish.
