Cardiology – Appropriateness of PCIs • Cardiology Report adopted last Bree Collaborative meeting, end of January • Summary of Bree partnership with COAP • Appropriateness of PCIs published publically, by hospital, starting in mid April • Recommendations for hospitals, payers and purchasers including WA State • Cardiology Report sent to HCA in March – no response yet

Status of Public Reporting of Appropriateness of PCI Next Steps: • Step 3: An updated appropriate use insufficient information report (based on 4th Quarter 2012 data only), by hospital, will be given to the Collaborative and hospitals to review. Hospitals will have the option to not be identified. • Original target date: April 15, 2013 • Updated target date: May 15, 2013 • Step 4: Data publically available • Original target date: May 1, 2013 • Updated target date: June 1, 2013

Actions Taken Since Last Meeting • Working on spreading the word about Bree and OB report • Presentation to AWHP members (TBD) • Presentation to HCA Managed Care Operations Meeting (Medicaid health plans) – April 12th • Working with HCA staff on the implementation of the HCA Administrator’s decision to adopt the recommendations • Promote widespread adoption of clinical data to capture labor and delivery practices • Add Bree goals to Medicaid Quality Incentive Program • Increase patient education (PEBB, Maternity Support Services)
