Simulation Analysis of Student Dining Behavior in a Dormitory Restaurant

This study focuses on modeling and simulating the dining behavior of students in a dormitory restaurant environment. It analyzes the arrival patterns, service times, and dinner duration of 493 students over one hour using various statistical distributions, including Weibull and beta distributions. The data was collected with a stopwatch by a team of four observers, ensuring accurate timing of each phase of the dining process—from arrival to garbage disposal. This research aids in optimizing restaurant operations by understanding student behavior and service dynamics.
