Key word assessments • Key words are the MEANING CARRYING words in the sentence. • One key word – Where’s the BOOK, where’s the SPOON – 12 months • Two key words – give me the BOOK and the BALL, give the BALL to TEDDY – 24 months • Three key words – give me the BOOK, the BALL and the SPOON Give the BIG SPOON to DOLLY – 36 months, plus in on under, big and small • Remember: options for every key word to test understanding. Don’t give unintentional cues!
