  2. Agenda

  3. Administrative Reminders Happy New Year !! Welcome Back

  4. Technical Approach – Consensus Update • Technical Approach has been consensus approved – • Significant achievement for the Initiative • Specifications and Standards around • Query Envelope specification • Declarative Query Expression based on next version of HQMF • Changes Presented to Query Health Technical WG, HL7 SDWG • http://www.hl7.org/documentcenter/public/wg/structure/minutes/HQMFforSDWG.pptx • Coordination started with NQF • Declarative Results Expression based on refined QRDA • Query Health CEDD Specification

  5. Technical Approach Consensus Update Cont’d • Technical Approach Summary section updated with the following comments: • Patient Consent is not applicable to Query Health use cases. (Aggregated patient information or public health use cases). This has been confirmed with the ONC Privacy Office. • Neither HQMF nor QRDA category III can be used “as is” for Query Health.  We will investigate the feasibility of revising these specifications to make them suitable for distributed population query execution. Success of this investigation is a baseline requirement to use modified versions of HQMF and QRDA category III as the basis for queries and their results.

HQMF ++ Specification Update • HQMF ++ • Keith’s proposed changes on the Technical WG wiki along with the recording for people who missed it. • Coordination with NQF on-going • Outreach to CMS on-going • HL7 Project Scope statement started for a ballot later in the year • Will be updated on the wiki for others to review, and link will be sent out in the minutes • Keith Boone and Marc Hadley planning to meet next week at the IHE Connect-a-thon and work through details of the proposed changes • NQF 0059 was the measure used initially • NQF 138, 139, and 147 proposed as the next set of measures • Links to be provided in the minutes. • Keith Boone updating the HL7 Models so that schemas can be generated with the proposed changes

  9. Query Envelope Specification Update • Query Envelope Specification • Activities in the early stages • PopMedNet completing the Plug-in design document • Outlines the integration aspects between Query Builders and PopMedNet • Outlines the integration aspects between Query Execution Engines and PopMedNet • Captures the Meta data information required to enforce policy sandbox requirements • Preliminary Review of the Plug-in design targeted for tomorrow and early next week • Plan to present this to the Technical WG next week

  10. QRDA++ Specification Update • Query Envelope Specification • Activities not started • Summary of the existing DSTU being prepared for review • Outreach for volunteers with QRDA knowledge on-going

  11. CEDD Specification Update • Data Model Updates • Clinical WG making good progress on identifying the data elements required • Concept to Code Mapping Sub WG within Clinical WG • Presentations continuing on the topic from experts • Rick Biehl – Data Warehousing and Concept Mapping • Jeff Brown – PopMedNet • Olivier Bodenreider – National Library of Medicine • Link to all the recordings and upcoming presentations • http://wiki.siframework.org/Clinical+Concept+Mapping+%28Sub-Work+Group%29

  12. RI Update - PopMedNet • PopMedNet • Plugin Design Document being prepared to integrate i2B2 and hQuery with PopMedNet • Preliminary Review tomorrow and early next week • Plan to bring this to the TWG next Thursday • PopMedNet previous version based on .NET 2.0 platform available for review now – Uploading to the repository to be started today • Major differences between the above and the version that will be used by Query Health to be released towards the end of February which is based on .NET 4.0 platform

  13. RI Update - hQuery • hQuery • Concept of the Execution Engine incorporated • Decouples hQuery from MongoDB and can now work with Hadoop • PopMedNet Integration work not started – waiting on the PopMedNet Plug-in design review • Sample HQMF Translator work performed for simple query • Will be Marc’s focus next week working with Keith Boone

  14. RI Update – i2B2 • i2B2 • Focused on the integration with PopMedNet • Plug-in Design document review scheduled for early next week to start the integration work • HQMF++ Translation work started by Keith Boone • i2B2 XML explained by Shawn Murphy • i2B2 XML  XSLT  HQMF ++

  15. Next Steps • Continue with the RI and Specification Activities • Soliciting volunteers who are experienced in R-MIM’s and XML/XSLT to help with some of the upcoming tasks • Volunteers who can represent queries using the proposed HQMF • Soliciting volunteers for the QRDA Work stream • Expertise in QRDA specification • Volunteers requiring access to the code repository • Please sign up for a google account at http://code.google.com • Project Repository - http://code.google.com/p/query-health/ • Sign up for the RI at http://wiki.siframework.org/Query+Health+Reference+Implementation
