  3. THE NEW FRONTIER BY: LAUREN ,NADIA AND BROOKLYN

  4. About The New Frontier The population in the colonies grew larger, and people felt uncomfortable living there . Many towns that were large and small were along the seacoasts and rivers. Farms took place of wild tangles of forest all the way to the Appalachian Mountains. Across the mountains, the land was taken over by Great Britain . Though the pioneers were not very concerned about borders.

  5. The New Frontier They knew that rich and beautiful land lay across the mountains, and they set out to take over the new frontier. Daniel Boone cleared the land so travelers could pass through to Kentucky. The people who went across the mountains to make their homes they had to be brave. They depended on themselves to do everything.

  6. The New Frontier They had to build their houses out of wood cut by hand. They had to make their own furniture and clothing and they had to hunt, gather, or grow their own food. There were very many dangers in the wilderness.

  7. The New Frontier The Native Americans were very angry with the new settlers and to make things worse the British often paid the Native Americans to attack the settlers. The difficulties did not discourage the pioneers. No matter how hard they worked or how great the danger , these pioneers were determined to look for new homes on the frontier.
