  2. DEFINITION Obstetric forceps is a pair of instrument specially designed to assist extraction of the fetal head and there by accomplishing the delivery of the fetus.

  3. Measurements of long curved obstetrics forceps • Length : 37 cms. • Distance : 2.5 cms (in between the tips). • Diameter (widest) : 9 cms.

  5. MATERNAL Inadequate Expulsive Efforts & MATERNAL Exhaustion

  6. Eclampsia

  7. Fetal: Non Assuring FHR.

  8. OTHERS: PROLONGED LABOUR
