"The Blue Birthday" by Daniel Jacobs is a delightful realistic fiction story centered around Maya's birthday surprise at Jasmine's house. The narrative reveals the challenges Jasmine faces when her soggy sandwiches become a concern for the party. However, Bryan’s positive remark helps Jasmine realize that not everything has to be perfect. The story teaches us to appreciate the effort behind surprises and find joy in any situation. It’s a charming read for anyone who enjoys heartfelt stories about friendship and creativity in celebrations.
