While it wascontinuingitseducationalactivities in a temporaysmallplace ,in 1996 it movedtothe 3rd floor of officialsbuildingassignedbytheHeadOfficial.

SODES (SOCIAL SUPPORT) PROJECT: BANANA FİBER Banana has an important role on theeconomy of theregion.Ourinstructorsgot a practicaleducationnamed‘Valueswhichareabouttoextinct’ from Hafize COŞKUN whoaccidentallydiscovered banana fiber yearsago.Theylearntthemethods of takingthe fiber out of the body of banana tree.Thentheytaught it totheadults in ourcentre.Theyproducedcordsfromthis fiber andstartedtomakedifferenthand-madeornamentalaccessoriessuch as bags,hatsandsomeotherdecorativeproducts.Theseproductsweredisplayed in theexhibitions in Mersin and Ankara.Our ‘Banana Fiber’ projectwasacceptedby Mersin Governorship.Thebudget of thisproject is 35.000 Euro .Whenwegetthisbudgetwearegoingto buy a machinewhich is usedtotake fiber fromtrees,andwearegoingtocontinueourworksprofessionally.

  10. TAEKWONDO COURSE Weopenedtaekvondocourseandwetrainedathletsfornationalandinternationalcompetitions.

  11. TAEKWONDO: Halk Eğitimi Merkezimizce Tekvando Kursumuz açılmış Türkiye ve Avrupa Şampiyonalarına katılmaları için sporcular yetiştirilmektedir.

  12. WORKS FOR CASPAN PROJECT(PRACTICAL ENGLISH COURSE) As part of the CASPAN project ,weopenedPractical English coursefor a group of studentsfrom Bozyazı Anatolian High School. Thesestudentswerechosenespeciallyfromthefamiliesthathavelow-income. Withthiscourseweaimedtoraisetheirsuccess in theuniversityexamandmakethemgainbetterspeakingskills. Inourcountrylanguageteaching is based on grammarteaching.Soweneededtotakeattentiontotheimportance of speakingandwediddifferentactivitiestodeveloptheirspeakingskillsin thecourses.Forexamplewegothelpfrom Oğuzhan ALIÇLI who is retiredfrom USA . He didspeakingexerciseswiththestudentsand he supported us verymuch as a volunteer. Wealsofoundsomesponsorstoprovidedocumentssuch as books,worksheets,testsetc. forthesestudents.
