Please delete this slide before using this presentation “Funding the UW” presentation Originally used at the 2018 Annual President’s Address, this presentation shows how the University of Washington’s budget is funded and how revenue sources can – and can’t – be used for various priorities. The presentation also explains how much of the UW’s core funding comes from the state and how much from tuition and how that has changed over time, as well as how the UW’s funding stacks up against its peer universities in other states. The notes sections of these slides are adapted from President Cauce’s descriptions at the Annual Address. The slides can be used in sequence to explain how the budget revenue streams are utilized, or individual slides can be used to illustrate specific points about how the UW is funded.
