Kick-Off Meeting for Coolview Project: Enhancing Database Search Services

The Coolview Project aims to enhance two critical library services: OPAC and database searching. Our current systems suffer from deficiencies such as the inability to search multiple database resources seamlessly, lack of user-friendly functionality, and ineffective search mechanisms. Key changes will include a potential upgrade to Sirsi, the exploration of open-source options, and a move towards using Aquabrowser for improved federated search capabilities. This meeting outlines the project scope, timeline, team roles, and next steps toward signing a final contract by the end of July 2007.
