About Me! • From Columbia, Missouri • Graduated from Mizzou in 2003 with a degree in Textile and Apparel Management • Graduated from UMSL in 2006 with degree in elementary education. • Received my ESOL certification in 2008. • Experience: 2 years in Newport Beach, CA (combination 2nd & 3rd), 2 years in Pattonville (3rd grade) • Professional Development- Teachers College Writing Conference, Everyday math training, Foss science training

  11. Language/Word Study • Spelling-Pretest on Monday, test on Friday for those who did not pass the pretest. Assess the transfer of spelling within daily writing. • We will start Next Week • Vocabulary-Imbedded within read alouds and guided reading. (Word Collector)

  14. My Philosophy of Teaching • Educate the whole child • Students will be effective citizens • Determine the interests of students to motivate learning • Meet the needs of all learners through differentiation • Every child is capable of success • Good character is key!

  15. Before You Leave… • Please check the table by the green bulletin board for volunteer sign ups (yellow paper). • Sign up for your October conference on the table by the green bulletin board. • Write your child a quick note on the piece of stationary on his or her desk.
