  5. Life after ESL CoursesAfter completing ESL Level IV, taking the Accuplacer test for placement into appropriate reading and writing courses is strongly advised.

Additional ESL Classes:Don’t let the numbers confuse you • ESL 049 General Vocational ESL Any student who has completed ESL010 can take this course • ESL 051 Pronunciation Improvement Any student who has completed one class in level II (020, 021, 022, or 026) can take this course • ESL 061 Informal Conversation and Writing English for Non-Native Speakers Any student who has completed one class in level II can take this course • ESL 050 Grammar Review A student must have passed ESL 040 before taking this course

Academic Resources • Success Center – ESL Tutoring EST S141 offers free tutoring by appointment for English as a Second Language courses at EMCC • Advisement • Counseling - Personal counseling, time management, stress management, anxiety, and balancing the demands of work, school and family.
