  7. Curricular Trends Students are working harder than they thought they could … and learn more by analyzing, synthesizing and applying theories

  8. Curricular Trends Fewer course texts, books and course packets Fewer and shorter papers

  9. Support Trends Friendlier students and faculty… … and administration

  10. Support Trends Students feel academically supported … and Traditional students feel increasingly socially supported

  11. Support Trends Students don’t feel supported outside the university … and Non-Traditional students don’t feel supported socially or outside the university

  12. Engagement Trends Increasing use of electronic media Increasing involvement in Practicums, Internships, Community Service, International and Capstone

  13. Engagement Trends Decreasing involvement in Linked classes, Independent study, and Foreign Languages Lessening of curricular conversations outside class with faculty

  14. Student-Faculty Trends More discussions with faculty about assignments, more questions asked and prompt feedback But Non-Trads work less with faculty in clubs and organizations

  15. Co-Curricular Trends Still most students are disengaged from co-curricular activities …especially Non-Trad students

  16. Active and Collaborative Trends Non-Trads study much less with their peers on projects in class … and to prepare for assignments outside class
