The LEND and AMCHP Summit, held March 4-5, 2006, in Crystal City, VA, addressed critical issues in transportation accessibility for individuals with disabilities. This joint meeting focused on expanding current transit-related research from a disability community perspective, particularly revolving around quality of life in relation to transportation services. Funded projects, including scholarships for trainees, aim to develop actionable solutions and distribute them nationwide through the ESPA clearinghouse. Applications for genetics grants are due by October 1.
