Key Stage 5 Curriculum Map Overview for Parents and Students

This Key Stage 5 Curriculum Map outlines the subjects and topics covered, enabling parents to support their children with additional resources at home when homework is not assigned. It supplements long-established coursework outlines by identifying key pressure points on controlled assessments over a two-year span. The map acknowledges the evolving nature of examination timings due to early entries and varied assessments across subjects. While this list serves as a guide, it is subject to change based on split groups, PGCE teachers, and specific controlled assessment requirements.

  2. Key Stage 5 Curriculum Map 2013-4 The idea behind this is be able to share with parents the topics being covered in each subject so that additional work/help can easily take place at home, if no homework is set for example. It will also supplement the coursework outline we have had for some time, arranged by Elaine on where the pressure points in terms of controlled assessments may be within the 2 years. Also examination timing is less standardised across the subjects with early entry for some or all of a course now common practice. This list is however a guide and will undoubtedly be changed. This flexibility may be due to split groups, PGCE teachers, controlled assessment set titles etc.
