Creating a collaboration platform for Maritime Information Sharing and Risk Profiling across multiple agencies and mandates • The Problem • Scope: Integrate and manage of all information relating cargo, conveyance and crew into a unified view of risk • Diversity: Fusing the different sub-sets of illicit, natural, and normal activities of people, cargo and conveyance to provide a clearer understanding of the activity • Collaboration: Increase collaboration in the risk analysis phase – not just during investigations • The Solution • Information Sharing: Increase exchange of information • Technology: Combine data fusion, risk analysis & collaboration into an integrated decision-support platform – “need to share” replaces “need to know”

SolartaTeamsites– a browser based collaborative workspace / workflow solution that builds on the concept of knowledge management for use by land based military personnel only

SOLARTA – Real-time multi-agency collaborative environment …used by Maritime Security Centre - Horn of Africa (MSCHOA) as the collaboration tool for multi-agency collaboration in the fight against piracy in the Gulf of Aden/ Somalia. Currently the only active solution that has the full support & use of military agencies from all EU states, US, Russia, China, Korea, Japan and the flag states operating commercial shipping. The solution is also being used by InterPol and the representatives from the World Food Programme.
