What is Co-Mingled Recycling ? • Recyclables that are compacted and then transported to processing center in Chester, VA
Recycle • Co-Mingled recycling adopted by CCPS in 2008. Compactor was voted on and purchased. • Co-Mingled Recycling center is located at the end of Dixie Youth Drive • Electronics recycling center located on Dogwood off of Evergreen.
Recycling Boxes • Each room in the school should have one • Only the clear plastic bags should used (this is what designates it to the Armark staff that it is to be handled as recycling) • They should be placed next to the trash cans in the room (easier to find by cleaning staff)
Acceptable Items Newspaper / Cardboard Magazines Soft Covered Books Aluminum/Steel Cans Plastic Bottles/Containers with 1 or 2
Unacceptable Items • Aerosol cans • Aluminum foil or containers • Plastic bags • Glass • Hardcover books • Lids or caps • Plastic coated paper • Wrapping paper • Food contaminated items • Motor oil bottles • Waxed cardboard • Napkins and tissues
