  2. Iran and Persia are interchangeable to mean the same country. • Iran is legal name • Persia was an ancient Kingdom within Iran • Being the dominant kingdom in Iran gave Persia it’s powerful outlook similar to England in Britain. • This is the historically Persian Empire

Tiles and stones were main parts of the Iranian and Persian artistic buildings. • Rugs were made from wool and silk weaving. • Country had these materials but the people were hard workers but poor. • The Royalties were kept by the Kings and Empires. • No freedom of expression-fear of being persecuted did not allow the people to fight for better living and showing off their artistic and musical skills to the world.

  4. 1935 President of Iran promised minorities to expand the use of their language. • Late 1960’s and early 1970’s Iranian art boomed and was made available to the rest of the world. American galleries sold many of these contemporary arts • .
