Final Thoughts Despite the beach location that may have caused a distraction, the Mini YLF event went well. Some of teens wanted to go swimming soon after we arrived as the water looked so inviting. We were lucky enough to have the next cabana empty where we conducted our issue identification piece. Mini YLF also gave the opportunity to have the middle school teens input on the issues, socialize with the teens and provided a “dry run” for the YLF participants to practice their Character Counts presentation. It was also great that 2 teens from Ft. Shafter participated as well. Everyone had a great time !
