  2. The Main Idea • Monitoring with an Intelligent Fabric of sensors • Using ISM radios and hardened sensor “pods” • Postulates as a solution to complex routing • Monitor micro (~1m) to meso (~100m) climates • Can not be done with satellites to these resolutions

Sensor Web Pod 15 is covered in mud from nearby watering and has had an antenna chewed on by some local fauna. Nevertheless, the pod has continued to operate well.
