Transforming Special Education Evaluations: The EPIC Initiative

This presentation details the EPIC (Evaluation Process Improvement Committee) initiative aimed at improving the special education evaluation process within the Special School District of St. Louis County, MO. Following feedback from parents and the SSD Parent Advisory Council, a diverse committee was formed to foster positive relationships and enhance school success. The committee comprises parents, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and administrators working collaboratively to streamline evaluation procedures and promote a more effective and supportive educational environment for children with special needs.
