  5. This Year’s Highlights… • Two options to renew online: • Troop Leaders can renew troops through Troop Management • Parents/guardians can renew their daughters and themselves individually • New incentives! • GSUSA membership dues are now $15 • $5 Council Service Fee for girl members only

Timeline • April 8Renewal Campaign Kickoff • April 18 Council to send renewal reminder email to troop leaders • May 1 Registrars to email or call troop leaders who have not renewed their troop • May 1 & 15Council to send targeted emails to parents and troop leaders who have not yet renewed • May 30 Registrars to notify RegistrationHelp@girlscoutsoc.org of disbanding troops • June 13 Council will send email reminder to parents and troop leaders – incentive deadline approaching • June 30 Deadline to earn incentives for Membership Renewal • Sept 29 Last day for troop leaders to renew troops online

  7. Girl Incentives • Every girl and leader who renews online by June 30 will receive a commemorative patch. • Plus– a new Family Giving Partnership patch!

Family Giving Partnership • The Family Giving Partnership patch can be obtained by: • Making a personal gift of $36 or more • All girls in the troop can get the patch by making a troop gift at the following levels: • $100 for 1-5 troop members • $200 for 6-10 troop members • $300 for 11-15 troop members • $400 for 16-20 troop members • $500 for 21-25 troop members • $600 for 26+ troop members BONUS! If you register and make a donation at the suggested level before June 30th, you will also receive this special membership companion patch.

Troop Incentives • Troops who reach the online girl renewal levels below will be entered into a drawing to win: 70-79.99%: Discovery Science Center Tickets 80-84.99%: Girl Scout Program Center Weekend Stays 85%-89.99%: Weekend Camp 90% +: Troop Camp – the best of summer resident camp on the weekend! Horses, swimming, and two full days of program! *Instead of Weekend Camp, Daisies will receive an alternate incentive.

  10. SU Incentives • 50 - 64.99% - Announcement of achievement and check for $50.00 • 65% - 69.99% - Announcement of achievement and check for $75.00 • 70% - 74.99% - Announcement of achievement and check for $100.00 • 75% and higher - Announcement of achievement and check for $150.00

Important Registration Tips • In order for the Troop Leaders to receive their patch: • Troop Leaders need to add their 01 or 02 position in Ebiz • SU Managers shall reappoint leaders and ensure they are listed as Active by June 30. • Troop Leaders should update their Meeting Information online • Level specific messaging • Incentives are only for online renewals. The only exceptions are members requesting financial aid and Graduating Senior Lifetime. Paper forms need to be received at GS Headquarters by June 30.

  12. Important Registration Tips • Troop Leaders are only able to renew girls in their troop who are currently registered for 2012-2013. • Check rosters now. Anyone missing? Contact RegistrationHelp@girlscoutsoc.org. • For girls not currently registered, parents must register their daughter online for the 2012-2013 membership year.

Council Service Fee Contact Information Volunteer Specialist As troop leaders and service unit team members, you have been provided resources to effectively answer questions regarding the Council Service Fee. If you need additional assistance, please follow this recommended path of contacts. As always, staff members at Girl Scouts of Orange County are available to answer questions and assist you. CAMP RESIDENT CAMP DAY CAMP Day Camp information can be found on the Day Camp page on our website (under the CAMP tab) Day camp information is updated every 2 weeks. • Camp is an extraordinary place where girls of all ages and abilities are welcome. In this nurturing and healthy environment, girls can break away from their daily routines to venture into new experience that help them grow and develop an “I can do this” attitude.

  24. TRAVEL • Girl Scout destinations: Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors can participate in GS destinations. These unique travel opportunities hosted by Girl Scout Councils and Girl Scout partners give individual girls the chance to connect with peers from all over the country while gaining independence and experiencing the wonders of travel. • GS Destinations Scoop Night: Get the “scoop” on Girl Scout destinations while enjoying a scoop of ice cream • May 2- 6:30pm-8:00pm, GSOC Irvine Headquarters • May 7- 6:30pm-8pm, Anaheim Program Center
