  7. Registering Your Access Codes • If you purchased your package from the bookstore, you will first need to register your CengageNow access code. You will have until Tuesday September 4th to register your code. Once you have registered this code, the access code for Write Experience will be emailed to you. • If you purchase just the Write Experience access code, you will have immediate access.

  8. Registering Your Access Codes 1. Go to www.cengagebrain.com. Bookmark this site as you’ll come here each time to log in!

  9. Registering Your Access Codes 2. Register using the ACCESS CODE from your card. This card is bundled with your textbook.

  10. Registering Your Access Codes 3. Create a new account.If you already have a CengageBrain account, you can skip this step and the next 3 steps by logging in.

  11. Registering Your Access Codes 4. Create your account and “agree” to the license agreement. Be sure to record your email address and password as you will need it to log in each time.

  12. Registering Your Access Codes 5. Search for your institution. It is easiest to search by zip code.

  13. 6. Select your institution then click “Continue.”

  14. Registering Your Access Codes 7. You are now set up with your CengageBrain home page. You can access CengageNow from this page by clicking on “OPEN.” Once you have your Write Experience code, you will in put that in the search box on the right. Then you will also see links to Write Experience and the eBook.

  15. CengageNow When you launch CengageNow for the first time you will be prompted for a COURSE KEY. That key is: E-TWQNYMEKRSXPH This is the specific key for Texas Tech, so make sure you in put the key correctly. You will see me, Laura Romero, as the instructor. But, that is the correct course.

  16. CengageNow Once you are in CengageNow, you can navigate through the tabs at the top. Click on Assignments to view the practice assignments. Click on Grades to see the assignment results and click on Study Tools to view the videos, flashcards, games, etc.

  17. When you launch Write Experience you also be prompted for a COURSE KEY. This key is: xj8yt4hg35ut

  18. Getting Started: • Your writing assignments can be found under the “Assignments” tab. • Click on “Start” to begin an assignment.

  19. The assignment instructions will appear in a new window. When you are ready to begin, click “Start Your Assignment.”
