  3. Duty- • Preside over the House. Appoints people to committees.

  4. Majority Leader

  6. Duty- • Help plan the majority party’s agenda and push bills through the House. Floor leader of their party.

  7. Majority Whip

  8. Kevin McCarthy (R)

  9. Duty- • Assistant floor leader. Persuade members to vote as the party wishes.

  10. Minority Leader

  12. Duty- • Help plan the minority party’s agenda and push bills through the House. Floor leader of their party.
