Notes • ISTAT data for the year 2006 are provisional • Note (1) Still Wines: wines with an alcoholic strength • up to 15% vol excluding sparkling wines. • Note (2) Fortified Wines: ISTAT data are based on • the Custom Nomenclature of EU which does not • make fortified wines different from other wines • between 15° and 22° which are also included in the • combined datum. Some fortified wines with an • alcoholic strength under 15° are not included at all.
