  1. Global Ministries Child Sponsorship Does your church have a mission project or do you have one? Join us and make the world a better place for children in other countries and never leave your community.

  2. is a Global Ministries’ program that gives individuals and churches an opportunity to provide children with food, basic health care, clothing, shelter, love and prayers. Sponsorship can make a difference in a powerful way in a child’s world. A sponsor’s kind generosity is a way of sharing their blessings with one of the Least ~ God’s children. God calls us into mission but not all the same way.A commitment to sponsor a child demonstrates positive hope for the future and life itself. The Child Sponsorship Program

  5. With our partners, we share the need to care for children struggling for human dignity and a decent life in poor countries. Many of our children are affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, natural disasters, abandonment, refugees, or living in poverty. The care of the children takes place with dignity and integrity via Global Ministries’ partners in their local church and communities. Our partners care and we care along with them.

  6. A Partnership Connected by Faith and Mutual Respect What an awesome thing to be involved in!

  7. 100% of designated gifts go to the children and their centers! Know where your gift is going. Every effort is made to help defray the cost to operate the program. And we are committed to the responsibility of good stewardship. Our Annual Appeal for the programis vital to our operation

  8. Feel comfortable that you are working with a church-based program that represents your faith with churches and agencies that are faith focused. • (Christian and non Christian) • The sponsorship program honors the diversity of culture and faith of our sponsored children. Global Ministries partnerships come with no strings attached related to a child’s religion, gender, medical history or ethnicity. The children are hurting or in need of our help. • Remember, God loves everyone!

  9. Sponsorship Can Make A Difference Whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple, truly, I tell you, none of these will lose their reward. (Matthew 25:37-40 NRSV) The reward of sponsorship is the joy of doing God’s work for others in need. Supporting their struggles gives them hope for a better tomorrow. . . . meeting God’s people at their point of deepest need: Spiritually, physically, emotionally, and/or economically.” Global Ministries Critical Presence

  10. Hope is hard to think about for many of the children in countries like Zimbabwe, Haiti, Jerusalem, India, Armenia and China. Working with our partners does allow hope and change. Look at the sponsorship smiles . . .

  11. THE JOY OF GIVING SO THAT OTHERS LESS FORTUNATE CAN HAVE A BETTER LIFE IS PRICELESS!

  12. Any Individual or Group can do it! Churches ~ Fellowship Groups ~ Women’s or Men’s Groups ~ Regions ~ Sunday Schools ~ Young Adult Classes ~ Vacation Bible Schools, Parents ~ Single People ~ Children ~ Families ~ Conferences ~ Retirement Centers Fundraising Suggestions: Bake Sales ~ Collecting Cans ~ Movie or Game Nights ~ Ice Cream Socials ~ Plays ~ Coin Drives ~ Dances ~ Walk or Jump-a-thons ~ Individuals and Family Assignments within your Church ~ Dress up or down Days

  13. New sponsors receive a photo of a child and some information about the child assigned. For less than a dollar a day your tax-deductible gifts can transform your child and you in so many positive ways. Every since we met you all have been very kind to me. You have taken care of me as a parent of their own son. Your people (church) have encouraged me a lot to think about my future. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. (An excerpt from this child’s letter to sponsor)

  14. There is the possibility that you may not hear from your child as often as you would like. This does not mean the child is not in need. More the opposite, other needs of a child have precedence or maybe no one is available to translate a letter or help the child write a letter; a lack of technology to communicate; or the site administrator may be • overwhelmed with other responsibilities. We must • have faith that not hearing hear • from a child as often does not • mean sponsorship is not making • a difference in their life. • Contact the sponsorship office • and we will try to get information • for you.

  15. Samples of Correspondence from Sponsored Children

  16. THE CHILD SPONSORSHIP IS MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH SUPPORT FROM: Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Disciples Mission Fund and the Wider Church Ministries, United Church of Christ, Our Church’s Wider Mission Thank you!
