  2. Asexual reproduction Reproduction means producing new living things. Animals plants reproduce to make new individuals of the same species. What would happen is living things do not reproduce? The earth would die There are 2 main types of reproduction ASEXUAL reproduction and SEXUAL reproduction. Asexual reproduction: In asexual reproduction there is only one parent All the offspring are identical to the parent They have exactly same genes They are called clones

  3. Budding ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION produces individuals with identical genetic information to the parent. Budding: Examples: Budding in hydra- Budding in yeast- spore formation in bread mould- Binary fission in bacteria, these all use the process of asexual reproduction.

  4. Sexual reproduction in plants Sexual reproduction in plants: Flowering plants: Flowering plants mean that they are plants that have flowers in them; these produce flowers at one stage of their life. They are very common. For the plant to be able to reproduce pollen grains must be carried from the stamen to the female part of the flower after that the insects pollinate them. The pollen sticks on the insect and the insect carries it to another flower, pollination makes of one or more seeds to a flower. Flowers also have male parts and female parts. Called the stamen and pistil.

  5. Parts of a flower Describe the parts of the flower and their jobs Petals: To attract bees so that they can take the pollen. Stigma: To receive the pollen grain that is why it is sticky. Stamen: Male part of the flower Ovules: Are located inside the ovary Ovary: Lower part of the pistil Style: Long tube of the pistil Filament: Long part of the male part of the flower Anther: top part of the male part of the flower Pistil: Female part of the flower

  6. Words to describe the process of flowers. Pollination: pollination is when pollen has a space on the stigma; insects or flying insects can accomplish this. Once the pollen lands on the stigma chemical reactions react to make the cycle reproduce. Fertilization: this is when the male and female cells fuse together to make other cells.

  7. Seeds Germination: The process where seeds or spores begin to grow. Dicot seeds: these seed have two parts just like a bean seed. This also has a really soft cover but after time it peels of so that the bud can take action, there is also two big parts of the seed which is called cotyledons, they supply food for the plant while its growing. because this seed has two parts it is called dicotyledonous and so it is short for dicot.

  8. Germination of seeds Conditions for germination of seeds with an image This happens when a little baby plant begins or starts to grow. When a seed starts to grow we call it germination, the cotyledon keeps the food for the baby plant, the first part that grows is the root after that the skin peels out and then the roots start coming out of the shell it straightens and carries the cotyledons with it. The main roots get bigger and bigger following the sunlight. Before the it needs plant needs sunlight, you have to put the seed in a damp warm dark area of space so that it is able to form the plant after that it will consist having sunlight.
