  2. Geography • Ireland is located in the north- west of Europe, its lush vegetation is a product of its mild climate and frequent rainfall. A circle of mountains surround low plains at the center of the great island. Inland areas in Ireland are warmer in the summer colder in the winter. • Neighbour of Great Britain, Irish Sea, and North Channel. • Known for three World Heritage Cites on the island; the Brunaboinne, ShelligMicheal, and Giants Causeway. Accoring to this chart it proves that it gets the most precipitation in the middle of the year compared to the beginning and start of the year. The temperature rises more in February and march rather than in July , June and August like in Canada.

Archaeology/History There are many Artifacts in Ireland Here are just a few. • Triple Spirals of Life- This concept was to define different countries it represented the three faced goddess, ( maiden, mother, crone). It is the symbol of life and energy also abundance and prosperity. The artifact was carved inside the 5000 year old Newgrange passage mound in County Meath, Ireland. It is a size of 6.25” x 5”. • Sheela Na Gig- taken from the well known 11th century church in Kilpeck, England, this Celtic goddess figurine is believed to have served as both a fertility symbol, a goddess related to death and rebirth and a protector against evil spirits. Has a size of 7” x 5”.

  4. The Lovers- A beautifulearly medieval carving inside Millstattmonastary in Austria, these 2 lovers might represent Tristan and Isolde, the famous Celtic pair known throughout Europe . In this story, the nephew Tristan of Cornish King Mark is sent to Ireland to escort Isolde to her royal betrothed but Tristan and Isolde take the love potion intended for King Mark and are forever bound in love. Various escapades ensue but ultimately, through the vengeance of the king, Isolde believes Tristan dead and throws herself off the cliffs, at which Tristan himself commits suicide, unwilling to live without her but reaching her side before they both die.

  5. Political Science/ Sociology Ireland is a Parliamentary Democracy and Republic which current leader is Chief Executive Mary Mcaleese. The chief executive in Ireland mainly has a term length of 7 years. Ireland's Legislature has 220 seats, and the last legislative elections were in 2011. • This is a description of The Police Service of Northern Ireland. The vast majority of RUC officers came from the protest and unionist community. It was repeatedly had gotten accused of police brutality and discrimination against Christian and Irish beliefs . The RUC was a highly militarized police force and played a key role in the violent conflict known as the Troubles. • The levels of education in Ireland are primary, secondary and higher other wise known as third level education. In the last few years the education system has grown intensely. For universities there are student service fees (up to €2,500 in 2013).

  6. Economics Ireland’s biggest trading partner is the United Kingdom. UK 18.6%, US 18.3%, Belgium 14.7%, Germany 7%, France 5.9%, Spain 4.2% The primary natural resources of Ireland is include natural gas, petroleum, peat, copper, lead, blueberries, dolomite, barite, limestone, gypsum, silver and some zinc. Key industries based on these and other natural resources include fishing, foresting, mining, livestock, and other forms of agriculture and fish farming. In Ireland there is an income tax, a VAT, and various other taxes. Employees pay pay- as- you-earn, based on their income, less certain allowances. The Irish tax system is primarily in place to pay for current expenditure programs, such as universal free education, taxpayer funded healthcare, social welfare payments such as old age pensions,
