Bringing HOPEChanging LIVES! • MISSION STATEMENT: HOPE worldwide is an international charity that changes by harnessing the compassion and commitment of dedicated staff and volunteer to deliver sustainable, high impact, community-based services to the poor and needy. • VISION : TO BRING HOPE & CHANGE LIVES

  4. Background Bringing HOPEChanging LIVES! • Free Children’s Clinic A joint partnership programme with Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Sdn Bhd. It provides quality treatment to children from underprivileged families. By December 2008, about 3,053 children have benefited through our dedicated team of 14 volunteer doctors. • Reading Programme We are currently conducting the Reading Programme for underprivileged children from the urban poor in Penang to learn to communicate and read in English. With more than 10 volunteer teachers, each student would have personal mentorship during each session. 120 children are now benefiting from the Reading Programme.

Special Highlight– Mobile Clinic • To provide easier access to quality health treatment for the rural poor. • Regular visits to outlying kampongs & Orang Asli Settlements. • To establish link in rural areas for possible future educational programmes for the children. • Target date of operation: January 2010.
